Jeet? - Chiaki's story
Chiaki was going to college in America. One day she was eating her lunch in the cafeteria. She was listening to American students talking. One student said to the other student, "Jeet?" Chiaki was very confused. She did not know the word Jeet. She asked me to explain. I finally realized the student was saying, "Did you eat?" Americans speak very fast. They use reductions like Jeet which is the way "Did you eat" sounds if you say it very fast. It is important for you to learn reductions. Click here to watch the Jeet video
