Adverb Types conjunctive adverb shows the relationship between, and join together, two sentences or clauses degree adverb increases or decreases the effect of the verb manner adverb shows how an action is performed place or location adverb shows where the action of a verb is done time adverb shows when an action takes place, the frequency of an action, or the duration of an action
