A correlative conjunction is a word that appears in pairs and connects equivalent parts of a sentence.

A correlative conjunction is actually a coordinate conjunction connected to an adjective or an adverb.

Examples of coordinate conjunctions include the following pairs of words: both...and, either...or, neither...nor, not only...but also, so...as, whether...or.
