A conjunction is a word that connects
phrases,

The three types of
conjunctions are
coordinate conjunctions,
correlative conjunctions, and
subordinate conjunctions.
Coordinate conjunctions are used to connect words,
phrases,
and
independent clauses.
Examples of
coordinate conjunctions include: and, but, for, nor, or,
so, yet.
Correlative conjunctions appear in pairs and connects equivalent parts of a
sentence.
Examples of
correlative conjunctions include: both...and, either...or,
neither...nor, not only...but also, so...as, whether...or.
Subordinate conjunctions are used to introduce a

relationship between the
independent clause and the
dependent clause.
Examples of
subordinate conjunctions include: after, although, as, because, before,
how, if, once, since, than, that, though, till, until, when,
