Hi. In the classroom today you will learn about adjectives, an important part of English grammar.

An adjective is a word used to modify, or describe, a noun or a pronoun

An adjective describes the quality, state, or action that a noun refers to.

An adjective can come before or after a noun.

An adjective can come after a verb.

An adjective can be modified by an adverb.

An adjective can be used as a complement to a noun.

These are the different types of adjectives.

Attributive adjectives come before a noun.

Comparative adjectives are used to compare two things.

Predicative adjectives come after a copula or linking verb and not before a noun.

Superlative adjectives show which thing has that quality above or below the level of the others.

Present participle adjectives are formed from a verb using the present participle or "ing" form of the verb.

Past participle adjectives are formed from a verb using the perfect aspect and the passive voice.

Adjectives are an important part of English grammar.
