- Perfect aspect is an action, event, or condition which is
complete (definite) and includes the following:

| Examples of perfect aspect |
- Past perfect: "I had gone." Expresses that
an action was completed prior to some other event.
- I had painted the house.
- I had eaten breakfast this morning.
- I had gone to the bookstore with my best friend.
- Present perfect: "I have gone." This is usually used to
express that an event happened at an unspecified or unknown time
in the past.
- I have painted the house.
- I have eaten breakfast this morning.
- I have gone to the bookstore with my best friend.
- Future perfect: "I will have gone."
- I will have painted the house.
- I will have eaten breakfast this morning.
- I will have gone to the bookstore with my best friend.
