| Definition of base form of verbs |
- The base form of a verb is:
- also called the basic form or the
verb root
- the form that is found in dictionaries
- the same as the
infinitive verb form without the "to"
- The
verb "to be" is an exception

- I usually eat my food with chopsticks.
- This weekend I have to paint my house.
- She would like to make breakfast now.
- I like to go for a walk in the park.
- I eat breakfast every day.
- Occasionally, I need to run to school.

- I like to walk at the park.
